Could you lease help me... In Russian rules for Leander for his second ability in Last Hope it is told that players can not cancel the effect of a bad event if Leander opened the event card.

Is it correct or it's a typo?

Could you please provide the last sentence of a Leander's second ability card (Legend 11) in English or German?

The last sentence:
Wichtig: Dieses Ereignis kann nicht mit einem Schild abgewehrt werden.

Important: You can not avert this event with a shield. (?)

But I don't really see the reason to use this ability if you cannot block these events...

Well, you can get rid of bad dices...
And if you open the event card early on day, you should have enough time to react so that you can avoid a bad effect instead of blocking it.

In my opinion there is also a story-related reason to do so.

There is a thing called the Kassandra-Effect, where a seer can see disaster in the future but is not able to avoid it due to one of two reasons: First second nobody beleives him (as happend to namegiving Kassandra who warned the Troians to not let the wooden horse in town but rather advised to burn it).
Second -- more sophisticated -- the fact the seer has seen the event happen before it happens is the thing that imprints the happening in stone rather than being a wobbly thing in the future which can be avoided or not.

I always believed this is some kind of the tragedy which lies with this specific hero
