Star Shield: Wolf Taming and Movement Sequence

The rules ("The Wolves are Coming" card) state that whenever a Hero's time marker reaches the Wolf token on the Time track, the wolves move immediately, interrupting the hero's action.

I am uncertain about how this rule applies in the following situation:

Eara begins her turn on the same space as the Alpha Wolf and wishes to tame the wolf. The Wolf token is on the 3rd Hour. Eara’s time marker is on the 2nd Hour.

Taming the Wolf, which is like a fight action, costs 1 hour, and causes her marker to advance to the 3rd Hour, thus triggering the movement of the Wolf.

Would Eara be able to complete her fight action (roll her die) before the wolf moves? Or must the Alpha wolf be moved immediately, as soon as Eara's marker reaches the 3rd Hour, thus interrupting her action; the battle (taming attempt) is interrupted because Eara is no longer on the same space as the wolf.

In other words, if the sequence in a battle round is:

a. move time marker ahead 1 hour
b. roll dice to resolve battle

Would the Wolves move after a (before b), or after b?

Thank you very much for your help! :)

Hello Caylusboy,

the Alpha wolf moved as soon as Eara's marker reaches the 3rd hour, and yes, Eara's fight was just an attempt. Eara and the wolf are not longer on the same space, before the battle started.

Ah, that is interesting! So in this case (the Hero's Time marker is 1 Hour before the Wolf token at the start of the Hero's turn), the Wolves move during the battle round, not after it.

Thanks Mjölnir! :)

… so if I understood correctly, Eara could not tame the wolf on her current turn. Instead, she would spend 1 hour to move 1 space in the direction of the arrows. This would cause the Alpha wolf to move into the same space as her (following her, so to speak ;) ). Eara could then tame the wolf (take her "fight action") on her next turn.

Thanks again!
