RidN: Difficulty level and preferable heroes?

Hi!

I have 2 questions for experienced RidN players.

1. What is your preferable difficulty level?

For me playing with Grenolin is too easy. So i play without him.
2 players: we play with 0-1 blue wells;
3 players: all 3 blue wells;
4 players: all 3 blue wells and maybe 1-2 additional starting fame;
5-6 players: didn't try yet.

For me this is sweet spot. What are your thoughts/experience?

2. What heroes is don't work very well in the north (if any)?

I think that 4 main heroes (warrior, wizard, archer and sea warrior) works perfectly.

Arbon: worst hero in the base game (in my opinion), here - even worse (with my preferable difficulty levels, because there's always not enough fame/gold);
Kheelan: with base rules for spirit movement he is almost useless in the North.
Bragor: I thinks he works well, and maybe even more interesting with blue wells;
Fenn: I thinks he works well;
Wolf warrior: his special ability have almost no use in the North, and so you have hero with bad dicepool and without ability;
Kirr (time wizard) - I thinks he works well.

Of course with Grenolin you can allow you to play with any character.

What are your thoughts/experience?

Thank you for answers!

Hello, BWT.
I agree with you at all, but the Wolf warrior is not useless in the north. With a bow he has 5-9 strength points at every field without the middle island. (I am sorry for my english! :oops: )

You are right, but I think that it will be useful if only he could fight alone, but he can beat only the gors that way.

Maybe I should try to play with him more to see right way to use his special ability :)
